人物簡介
Miru Xiumuyi is an Atayal curator, one of the 16 Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan. Received her master degree in Institute of National Kaohsiung Normal University Interdisciplinary Art, she is a producer, director and manager of Scarecrow Contemporary Dance Company (SCDC), artistic director of Atayal Art and Dance Company, as well as an interdisciplinary contemporary artists and independent curator.
Her first Production in SCDC “Step In” was a site-specific dance project occurred in historic site, galleries, art space, cafe shop, ruins, tree house, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei etc. (2009-2013). After that, she was selected and started her artist-in-residence of Soulangh Artist Village (2014).
Since 2015, Miru has been invited to curate an interdisciplinary contemporary art project and exhibited in Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts under the concept and elements of contemporary dance (National Culture and Arts Foundation’s “Curator’s Incubator Program at Museums”), Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (Forum for Creativity in Art), Stock 20 Art Gallery, Taichung; Tainan Cultural Center, B1F Gallery and Outdoor plaza; and The Place Tainan (Hotel) 6798 Gallery.
In 2019, Miru published the dance book entitled "Step in.Site-Specific Dance Performance of Scarecrow Contemporary Dance Company".
