Paki-Takismuuzan, Bunun people of Luluna community from Nantou County. Paki-Takismuuzan is determined to become an artist and his passion and commitment for painting never died. His first dream was getting into Fine Arts at National Taichung University of Education. Painting was an extravagant hobby for him back then, elders in the community couldn’t understand why he wanted to be a painter “with no financial future” when the family is already financially challenged.
“But I couldn’t stop painting,” Paki-Takismuuzan said. Paki-Takismuuzan grew up in Luluna community, his indigenous hometown is the greatest momentum for his creation. His soul enjoys the energy of art and he often combines dreams with personal emotion and culture in his paintings. From indigenous land to myth and legend, and even self-exploration, he breaks free of physical restrictions and predicaments, demonstrating his thoughts and insights towards life with each pen stroke. His journey of creation records how he trekked through adversity. His creative style is absurdity mixed with surrealism. The potential value of the cold tone amongst the heavy hue, displaying the emotional surge and subconscious flow.
