作品介紹
發想自達文西《維特魯威人》人體黃金比例，舞作運用肢體創造出3D立體的moko刻紋，形成極具前衛卻又與祖靈共存的獨特舞蹈作品，從中反思人與自然力量之間的平衡關係。舞台服裝的設計曾獲2015紐西蘭建築裝置獎。今年將於高雄，演出結合毛利當代視覺藝術的台灣版《MOKO》。
由阿塔米拉舞團所帶來的《MOKO》台灣巡演版，經過重新編排之後，更名為《PANGO》，舞者藉由傳統moko的文身符號意象，透過身體呈現Te Kore狀態，舞者們回應著由祖先傳唱下來的古老曲調，在超凡的意識時空中與靈魂對話。
˙「moko」是毛利人刻紋於臉上、身上的圖騰符號，能判斷一個人來自哪個部落，以及其性格與社會地位。
˙「Pango」，毛利語，直譯為黑色。在傳統毛利文化中，黑色代表了演化、創造與存在的三個狀態。包括：
1.Te Kore: 能量、潛力、空無
2.Te Po: 黑暗、夜晚
3.Te Ao-marama: 現形、光明與真實、人的居所

About the Show
Inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, the patterns of Ta Moko explode both emotionally and literally onto the stage in new three-dimensional forms. It is a unique act that includes avant-garde style and boasts spiritual power, tracing a return to equilibrium of nature. It was the winner of New Zealand’s Interior Awards 2015 for installation/set design. This year, MOKO - the Taiwan version is going to storm Kaohsiung with extreme excitement!
In PANGO our dancers embody the Te Kore state. Movement has been created using traditional MOKO body tattoo symbols. The dancers also respond to our ancient creation chants passed down by our ancestors which describe the various states of potential in the subconscious mind.
˙Moko is the permanent body and face marking by Maori that shows one’s tribe, personality and social status.
˙Pango translated means Black. In traditional Maori culture the colour black is associated with the three states of evolution, creation and being. They are
1.Te Kore; energy, potential, the void, nothingness.
2.Te Po; form, the dark, the night.
3.Te Ao-marama; emergence, light and reality, dwelling place of humans.
