Aljenljeng Tjaluvie Paiwan people of Buliblosan community in Taitung county. She made her debut in 2003 as Abao & Brandy and won the Golden Melody Award for Best Vocal Ensemble the next year. To fulfill her grandmother’s dream, she documented and preserved traditional East Paiwan songs in 2014, and together with her mother and grandmother, the three recorded the album The East Payuan Folk and Three Generations, recording the vocal of her grandmother and the rearranged Paiwan songs. As third generation, she is extremely proud to have been able to preserve the vocals of her elders! Since then, she travelled around Taiwan documenting songs in each community, and designed an app in 2017 for the ancient songs so that the age-old history and the lives of the ancestors will continue to be sung, the indigenous heavenly sound singing music as life, music as history.
