澳洲墨爾本藝術中心亞太表演藝術三年展的創意總監,他專長於委託及策劃多元形式與媒介的新作品創作,他近期的關注在於建立亞洲與印太地區之間的藝術家合作,他並製作劇情長片,新媒體及藝術節計畫,也延伸觸角到寫作計畫。他曾經擔任多個機構的執行工作包含Malthouse Theatre, Sydney Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre Company及Chamber Made Opera。2012-2015年,他是澳洲藝術委員會戲劇理事會的主席,並為新媒體理事會的首屆主席。其他經歷包括,目前為Sidney Myer Fund的藝術與人文委員會、澳洲國立戲劇藝術機構的理事會主席、塊動舞團的董事會主席、墨爾本藝穗節總監等。Stephen畢業於墨爾本大學,並完成史丹福大學商業學院的領導人學程,他曾獲George Fairfax Fellowship、the Kenneth Myer Medal、Greenroom Awards for Best Contribution to Theatre (2007) 、 Best Curatorial Contribution (2017)。
Stephen is Creative Director of Asia TOPA: Asia-Pacific Triennial of Performing Arts at Arts Centre Melbourne. Stephen specialises in the commissioning and programming of new works across a wide range of artistic form and media - his most recent focus has been developing inter-cultural collaborations between artists from Asia and the Indo-Pacific. Stephen has produced feature film, new media and festival projects and engaged extensively with writing projects. He has held Executive roles for numerous organisations including Malthouse Theatre, Sydney Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre Company and Chamber Made Opera. He was Chairperson of the Australia Council’s Theatre Board from 2012 – 2015 and was founding Chairperson of Council’s New Media Arts Board. Other non-Executive positions include Arts and Humanities Committee for the Sidney Myer Fund (current), board director of NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art), Chairperson of Chunky Move and director of Melbourne Fringe Festival. Stephen graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed the Stanford University Graduate Business School Leadership Program. Awards include the George Fairfax Fellowship, the Kenneth Myer Medal and Greenroom Awards for Best Contribution to Theatre (2007) and Best Curatorial Contribution (2017).
