人物簡介
由台灣各族原住民年輕人組成的「原舞者」成立於1991年，在專業人士的協助下，透過實際參與觀察整理式微中的原住民傳統歌舞，並由原住民長者「口傳相授」歌舞，在舞台上莊嚴的呈現原住民祭典精神，以充滿活力的傑出表演，促進族群的了解，豐富劇場文化。多年來，「原舞者」不僅在全台灣奔波演出數千場，更將舞台延伸至國際，足跡遍及歐美、亞洲數國，除了積極參與國際性文化交流活動，亦透過藝術節的參與、觀摩，學習各國傳統文化的保存及如何以傳統素材呈現於世界舞台。
The Formosa Indigenous Song and Dance Troupe (FISDT) was founded in 1991. It is made up of young indigenous people from various ethnic groups in Taiwan. With assistance of anthropologists and through actual participation and observation, this troupe has reconstructed declining traditions of indigenous singing and dancing. Together with advice from tribal elders, this enables FISDT to reproduce the spirit of indigenous ceremonies on stage. FISDT has been performed in numerous well-known theatres in both Taiwan and abroad. Through field research, performance and publication, it passes on and promotes Taiwanese indigenous culture. It is one of the oldest and forerunner indigenous theatre troupes in Taiwan.
