圖騰是原住民族群用來記錄和傳播語言的符號系統，可以用來表達某些信息；它是藉由生活及環境自然衍生出來的，「圖騰之謠」歌頌著太平洋島嶼上專有的族群特色，透過創作不再只是觀賞圖騰，更是聆聽背後蘊含的文化故事，藉由圖騰翻譯各地不同的語彙，歌曲的吟唱不再只是曲調及語言，藉由藝術創作重新演繹的圖騰，是唱出族群的過去和未來，透過新的〝演繹〞方式，唱出各地原住民族的「圖騰之謠」。
